A national database and volunteer referral system created by Volunteering WA to link volunteers, volunteer referral centres and volunteer involving organisations. VIKTOR allows volunteer involving organisations to login via the internet and directly update their details, including their organisation profile, available volunteer positions, contacts, address and phone numbers, etc.
As VIKTOR is the database behind the GoVolunteer, SEEK Volunteer, and Volunteer profile websites, the GoVolunteer mobile app, and also several other partner websites, when you list your volunteer positions on VIKTOR they will automatically be advertised in all of these places.
A volunteer involving organisation. You will be able to edit the details of your organisation, including addresses, phone numbers, etc.
A person who works at your agency. You can have multiple contacts listed for your organisation, but you must elect one contact to be the primary contact. Your agency must have a primary contact. This contact will be sent any critical information.
A volunteer role available within your organisation. These are the positions that will be advertised online (Through several different websites), and Volunteer Resource Centres will also search through these positions for volunteers.
When a volunteer is directed to a position through a Volunteer Resource Centre or submits an expression of interest (EOI) for a position you have listed online, it is called a referral. Volunteers may be accepted or rejected by your organisation.
An improved position management system constructed around a single-page position form. It has improved filtering options, the status of each position is made more obvious, and the user is given clear feedback on what actions should be taken. Documentation, help and support videos are built into the system.
Event or once-off volunteering is when a volunteer participates in a role that supports a specific event or volunteering day. An example of event volunteering might be an annual fun run, charity event, tree planting, and beach clear up or donation sorting.

Volunteering that can be done in small bursts or periods of time online. This type of volunteering is all about ad-hoc positions that involve doing little things that make a big difference overall. It could be anything from contributing to the development of a new website by creating some graphics or content and can be a one-off position or task that needs completing regularly.
This type of volunteering allows volunteers to offer their high level skills or professional experience to assist organisations. This could include, but not be limited to providing expertise such as risk management, professional coaching, strategic planning or project management.
These types or roles can include a wide range of activities from aged care support, helping in an animal shelter, assisting with admin, joining a committee or helping run an op shop. These roles can be short or long term regular roles depending on the commitment needed.
